Understanding Pink Eye & Environmental Factors

Pink eye in farm animals is commonly associated with UV exposure, dust, long grass seeds, flies, and irritating pasture conditions. These factors can stress the eye surface, reducing comfort and grazing behaviour.

Supporting eye resilience during high‑risk periods is essential.
Many farmers choose to use PE Blend FA alongside good pasture management and fly control to help maintain comfort and natural eye response.

Support Eye Comfort Naturally

Pink eye risk increases during:

  • High UV periods
  • Dusty or dry conditions
  • Long, seeding pasture
  • High fly pressure
  • Windy weather
  • Stress or reduced feed availability

Ways to help manage and reduce pink eye risk:

  • Reduce long grass and seeding pasture
  • Provide shade during high UV periods
  • Manage fly pressure around stock
  • Keep yards and sheds clean and well‑ventilated
  • Offer fresh water and balanced nutrition
  • Use PE Blend FA to support natural eye comfort
  • Add remedy to troughs for herd‑wide exposure during high‑risk periods

Why Choose PE Blend FA?

  • Crafted by a qualified Animal Homeopath
  • Safe for all farm animals - sheep, beef cattle, goats, alpaca, pigs, deer
  • Versatile application - oral dosing, spray, feed, or water
  • Tamper‑proof, farm‑friendly packaging

About Agripathics

Agripathics is a brand of Natural Pet, a proudly New Zealand–owned and operated small business specialising in handmade natural homeopathic remedies for farm animals, dairy cattle, pets, and lifestyle blocks. Every product is crafted with care to support farmers seeking gentle, effective, non‑withholding solutions for animal health.

How to use

PE Blend is supplied in liquid form, which we find to be the easiest and most effective method of administration for all farm animals. Homoeopathic remedies can be given directly into the animal's mouth, added to feed, or mixed into drinking water. All methods are equally effective.

To maintain hygiene, avoid contaminating the dropper if administering directly into the mouth. For best practice, dispense the drops onto a clean teaspoon or other sterile utensil before offering them to your horse.

Dosage Instructions
Acute use: Administer 4 drops into the mouth every 2 hours, up to 6 doses. This course may be repeated if needed.

Ingredients

Homeopathic Ingredient:

Aconite, Arg nit, Euphrasia, Pulsatilla 30c

Base Composition

Formulated in a liquid base of certified organic ethanol (10%) and water.

About Our Ethanol Base

Our remedies are preserved using certified organic ethanol sourced from cane or wheat. The gentle 10% concentration supports product stability while remaining suitable for routine use across species, including companion animals, birds, horses, and livestock.

Ethanol and Animal Administration

Each dose contains only a minimal amount of ethanol. Most animals tolerate this well, and remedies may be administered orally, added to feed or water, or applied topically depending on species and context.

For animals with known sensitivity (or when cautious administration is preferred) the following approaches may be used:

  • Dispense drops into feed and allow to stand for 20 minutes before offering

  • Dilute in a small volume of warm water and allow to stand for 20 minutes prior to administration

These methods allow partial ethanol evaporation while preserving the integrity of the active ingredients.

Ingredient Philosophy

We select ingredients with a focus on purity, safety, and functional integrity. Our organic ethanol base reflects this commitment - clean, balanced, and suitable for diverse species, from household companions to performance and production animals.
