Information

Natural Support for Grief and Pining in Dogs and Cats

Has your pet lost a companion, become withdrawn after a family member has left, or struggled to adjust following a significant change in their life? Missing You is a gentle homeopathic remedy designed to provide natural support for dogs and cats experiencing signs commonly associated with grief, pining, emotional upset, and loss.

Animals form deep bonds with their companions, whether other pets or family members. When those relationships change, some animals adjust quickly while others may struggle emotionally for days, weeks, or even months.

Many owners notice changes in behaviour following a loss. Some pets become quieter and withdrawn, while others seem less interested in food, play, walks, or social interaction.

Missing You provides gentle homeopathic support aimed at helping pets navigate periods of emotional change while supporting overall emotional wellbeing.

For pets requiring additional emotional support, Missing You can also be used alongside Drama Queen, Fear Less, or Save Me depending on your pet's individual circumstances. Drama Queen is commonly used for ongoing anxiety and emotional stress, Fear Less supports situational fears such as fireworks, thunderstorms, travel, and loud noises, while Save Me is often chosen during periods of shock, trauma, accidents, or sudden emotional upset.

For additional nutritional support, Missing You can also be paired with MultiVitality Canine or MultiVitality Feline to provide broad nutritional support during times of stress, emotional adjustment, and overall wellbeing.

Patience, understanding, consistency, and routine can all help support pets during periods of adjustment.

Understanding Grief in Animals

Many pet owners are surprised by the depth of emotional responses animals can display following the loss of a companion.

Some pets search for the missing animal, wait in familiar places, lose interest in activities they once enjoyed, or simply seem less engaged with life than before.

While every animal responds differently, recognising and supporting emotional wellbeing during these times can be an important part of helping them adjust and move forward.

Why Fur Tissue Mineral Analysis (FTMA) May Be Helpful

While some pets experience temporary emotional upset following a loss, others may struggle with ongoing emotional sensitivity, behavioural changes, anxiety, reduced resilience, or broader health concerns.

Fur Tissue Mineral Analysis (FTMA) provides a personalised assessment designed to identify mineral imbalances, stress patterns, and nutritional factors that may be influencing overall wellbeing.

For pets experiencing ongoing emotional challenges or more complex health concerns, FTMA may provide valuable insights into supporting long-term wellness.

How to use

Missing You comes in a liquid form; this is the easiest way to administer it to animals. It can be put straight into the mouth of the animal, making sure not to contaminate the dripper. You can do this by adding the drops to a teaspoon, lifting the lip, and place in the mouth. But we realise this is not always an option. So you can add the drops to their food, which is just as effective.

Dosage: 4 drops 2 times daily for up to 10 days.

How long will a 25ml bottle last: (based on 10 days as 1 course)

Cats and Dogs: 4.7 courses per bottle

All instructions are on the bottle.

About Our Ethanol Base

At Natural Pet, our liquid remedies are preserved using organic-certified ethanol derived from a mild cane or wheat base and carefully prepared at a 10% concentration. This helps maintain product quality, stability, and shelf life while remaining suitable for daily use.

Ethanol and Your Pet's Wellbeing

Each dose contains approximately 0.4 of a drop of ethanol, an amount that is generally well tolerated by both cats and dogs.

If your pet appears sensitive to the taste or smell, you can:

  • Add the drops to food or a favourite treat and allow them to stand for 20 minutes before feeding.
  • Dilute the drops in a small amount of water and allow the mixture to stand for 20 minutes before administering.

For animals with heightened sensitivity, we recommend starting with diluted dosing and observing your pet's acceptance and comfort.

Our Commitment to Quality

We carefully select ingredients that reflect both purity and purpose. Our organic-certified ethanol is part of that commitment, providing a clean, reliable preservative system that supports product integrity while remaining gentle and practical for everyday use.

This was the second time using this product for our dog. He is a very sensitive boy and sadly our cat went over the rainbow bridge and Leo was very sad and quiet. This product works so well for him, helps to deal with grief. Would 100% recommend.

I use the remedy in their bowls of water. Seems it works for one cat, but not for the others. Good to have some instructions on the bottle itself, bu there is none.

I chose for the essences in it and it has been nothing short of amazing. I am working with a long term stray and honestly after the 10 day treatment she has relaxed so much. I'm so pleased to see her calmer and more secure. Still work to do but Missing You has been a real success with her. Thanks Tagiwig Team

  • Missing You
I'm happy to say that our GSD- Captain is now back to normal after taking "Missing You" for 1.5 weeks, he's no longer depressed. In fact he's now more active and naughty. He now plays with toys- which for the past 12 years he never really took notice of.
