Prevention and Management of Lameness in Horses

Lameness in horses can stem from a variety of causes—ranging from minor sprains to chronic joint wear. Supporting your horse’s recovery and long-term comfort involves a multi-pronged approach:

  • Monitor Movement: Watch for changes in gait or reluctance to move.

  • Rest and Controlled Exercise: Allow time for healing, then reintroduce movement gradually.

  • Hoof Care: Regular trimming and balanced shoeing help prevent strain.

  • Use Flexx H: Support your horse’s comfort with this gentle, homoeopathic remedy.

  • Maintain Safe Environments: Reduce risk of slips, falls, and overexertion with good paddock management.

How to use

Flexx is provided in liquid form, offering a convenient and effective method of administration for horses. Homoeopathic remedies may be given directly into the horse’s mouth, added to feed, or mixed into drinking water. All approaches are equally suitable.

When administering orally, please take care not to contaminate the dropper. For best practice, dispense the drops onto a clean teaspoon or other sterile utensil before offering them to your horse.

Flexx may be used in both acute and ongoing situations. It can be administered directly to the animal or added to a trough for shared access.

Dosage
Acute use: Administer 4 drops into the mouth every 1–2 hours, up to a maximum of 6 doses. This protocol may be repeated if required.

Ingredients

Homeopathic Ingredients
Apis, Arnica, Bellis per, Eurp perf, Hypericum, Rhus tox and Ruta grav

Preservation Base
This remedy is preserved in a gentle solution of ethanol and purified water.

About Our Ethanol Base

At Natural Pet, we use certified organic ethanol derived from cane or wheat, prepared at a mild 10% concentration. This formulation supports product stability while remaining suitable for regular use.

Ethanol and Equine Tolerance

Each dose contains only a small amount of ethanol—typically one or two drops. Most animals tolerate this well. For horses and donkeys, we recommend diluting the drops in fresh drinking water to ensure ease of administration.

Our Commitment to Purity
We select ingredients with care, prioritising both quality and purpose. The ethanol used in our remedies reflects this commitment: organic, clean, and thoughtfully balanced to support your animal’s wellbeing.
