• Circular patches of hair loss

• Dry, scaly, or crusty skin

• Irritated or rough skin texture

• Increased rubbing on posts or fences

• Reduced comfort during grooming or handling

• Early signs of fungal‑related skin imbalance

Understanding Ringworm & Environmental Factors

Ringworm in dairy cattle is commonly associated with fungal spores found in sheds, grooming equipment, bedding, and shared surfaces. Young stock, stressed animals, and those in close quarters may be more susceptible.
Environmental hygiene plays a key role in reducing exposure and supporting natural skin resilience.

Many farmers choose to use RW Blend DC alongside good shed hygiene and grooming practices to help maintain healthy skin during ringworm season.

Support Skin Health Naturally

Ringworm risk increases during:

• Damp or poorly ventilated sheds

• High stocking density

• Shared grooming tools or equipment

• Stress or reduced immune resilience

• Cold, wet weather followed by warm spells

Supporting skin balance early helps maintain comfort, grooming behaviour, and overall herd wellbeing.

Ways to help manage and prevent ringworm:

• Keep sheds dry and well‑ventilated

• Disinfect grooming tools and shared equipment

• Avoid overcrowding in calf sheds or wintering barns

• Maintain clean bedding and reduce moisture buildup

• Use RW Blend DC to support natural skin response

• Add remedy to troughs for herd‑wide exposure during high‑risk periods

Why Choose RW Blend DC?

• Crafted by a qualified Animal Homeopath

• Safe for calves, heifers, and lactating cows

• Versatile application – oral dosing, spray application, or feed integration

• Tamper‑proof, farm‑friendly packaging

About Agripathics

Agripathics is a brand of Natural Pet, a proudly New Zealand–owned and operated small business specialising in handmade natural homeopathic remedies for dairy cattle and all animals, as well as supplements for cats and dogs. Every product is crafted with care to support farmers seeking gentle, effective, non‑withholding solutions for herd health.

How to use

All Agripathics remedies are provided in liquid form, as this has proven to be the most practical and effective method of administration across species.

Individual Use:

For optimal absorption, remedies are best applied to a mucus membrane. In dairy cows, this typically means the nose or vulva. During milking, the vulva offers a convenient access point. A suggested approach is to spray 3–4 times per dose, ideally at three intervals: when the cow enters the shed, when cups are put on, and again at cup removal. This spacing allows for a minimum five-minute interval between applications, supporting consistent uptake and response.

For other farm animals, placing the remedy directly into the mouth or via food or water is generally the most effective method.

Group Use:

For herd-wide support, remedies can be added to the water trough. Adding 1–2 capfuls ensures that each animal receives a dose with every drink, allowing for repeated exposure throughout the day.

Ingredients

Homeopathic Ingredient:

Bacillinum, Kali ars, Poly Fungal, Ringworm nosode, Thuja

Base Composition:

Formulated in a liquid base of ethanol (10%) and purified water.

About Our Ethanol Base:

This product is preserved using certified organic ethanol derived from cane or wheat sources. The ethanol concentration is maintained at a gentle 10%, supporting product stability while remaining suitable for routine administration.

Ethanol and Dairy Cow Administration:

Each dose contains only a minimal amount of ethanol. Most livestock tolerate this well. It can be easily administered orally, applied to the vulva, or added to feed or water.  For animals with known sensitivity or cautious administration, the following approaches may be used:

  • Dispense the drops into the feed and allow them to stand for 20 minutes before offering.

  • Dilute in a small volume of water and allow to stand for 20 minutes before administration.

Ingredient Philosophy
We select ingredients with a focus on purity, safety, and functional integrity. Our ethanol base reflects this commitment—organic, clean, and carefully balanced to align with the needs of production animals.
