Information

Natural support for tracheal collapse in dogs and cats

Does your pet have a persistent cough, make a goose-honking sound, seem sensitive around the throat, or struggle with signs commonly associated with tracheal collapse?

Tracheal Tonic is a gentle homeopathic remedy designed to support dogs and cats experiencing signs associated with tracheal weakness, tracheal collapse, coughing, throat irritation, and respiratory discomfort.

Tracheal collapse is most commonly seen in small-breed and senior dogs, although animals of any age may benefit from support for respiratory wellbeing and comfort.

Many owners find that coughing episodes can become more noticeable during excitement, exercise, pulling on a collar, hot weather, or periods of stress.

Tracheal Tonic provides gentle support to maintain comfort, respiratory wellbeing, and quality of life.

Supporting respiratory health naturally

Supporting pets with tracheal collapse often involves more than simply addressing coughing episodes.

Maintaining a healthy body weight, avoiding unnecessary pressure on the neck, minimising environmental irritants, and supporting overall health and wellbeing may all help improve comfort.

Many owners choose to switch from collars to harnesses where appropriate and work to minimise situations that trigger coughing episodes.

Ways to help support your pet naturally

  • Maintain a healthy body condition
  • Avoid excess pressure on the neck
  • Consider using a well-fitted harness instead of a collar where appropriate
  • Minimise exposure to smoke and environmental irritants
  • Feed a balanced species-appropriate diet
  • Support overall respiratory wellbeing
  • Use Tracheal Tonic to support comfort and quality of life
  • Consider MultiVitality Canine or MultiVitality Feline for nutritional support
  • Seek veterinary advice if coughing worsens or breathing difficulties develop

Looking beyond the symptoms

Many pets with tracheal collapse are senior animals experiencing other age-related health challenges at the same time.

Supporting overall health, vitality, resilience, and wellbeing may be just as important as supporting the respiratory system itself.

A holistic approach that considers the whole animal often provides the greatest opportunity for long-term support and improved quality of life.

Why Fur Tissue Mineral Analysis (FTMA) may be helpful

Many pets experiencing chronic coughing or respiratory concerns may also experience:

  • Reduced vitality
  • Age-related health challenges
  • Mobility concerns
  • Reduced resilience
  • Chronic inflammatory conditions
  • Multiple ongoing health concerns

Fur Tissue Mineral Analysis (FTMA) provides a personalised assessment designed to identify mineral imbalances, stress patterns, and nutritional factors that may be influencing overall health and wellbeing.

For pets experiencing chronic respiratory concerns or complex health challenges, FTMA may provide valuable insights into supporting long-term wellness.

How to use

Tracheal Tonic comes in a liquid form, as we find this is the easiest way to administer to animals. It can be put straight into the mouth of the animal, making sure not to contaminate the dripper. You can do this by adding the drops to a teaspoon, lifting the lip, and place in the mouth. But we realise this is not always an option. So you can add the drops to their food.

Dosage: 4 drops 2-3 times daily, continue while imroving, stopo when resolved.

How long will a 25ml bottle last:

Dog & Cat: based on twice daily, 46 days

All instructions are on the bottle.

  • Helping a lot
My older dog was having many episodes of coughing/honking fits throughout the day and night. This tonic has dramatically reduced the number and frequency of his coughing. We now have some nights with no waking (thank you!) and often only 1-2 coughs a day.

  • Just amazed at the fast results for easing Poppy's cough from her trachea collapsing, The drops, together with massaging her neck to bring the top of her trachea together when she coughs and a wee bit of native honey which she enjoys licking off my finger as well as keeping her in a quiet environment is making her life and mine easier. It is horrible listening to the honking, choking cough your wee dog is going through, but finding and using the tracheal tonic was virtually a life saver.

  • A good remedy for an awful disease
I have been using this remedy for some time now and I have found it excellent in managing the symptoms of this awful disease. Unfortunately, CT gets worse ove time and is the case for us. We are using an inhaler now, but still continue with the tracheal support as long as we can and as long as it helps. Needless to say I am very thankful for the remedies Paulette provide for our beloved pets.
