Information

Mugal

A natural remedy for Mud fever, Rain Scald, fungal and thrush infections in horses. Mugal is a homeopathic blend designed specifically to support the normal immune response of an animal suffering from mud fever, thrush and fungal infections.

Mud fever also known as greasy heel is a skin infection that is caused by the micro-organism Dermatophilus congolensis, which invades damaged and damp skin and is a bacterial cross fungal infection.  Mugal assists the body's natural response to this onset.

All our remedies have been developed by a fully qualified Animal Homeopath and Herbalist.

Handmade in NZ.     All remedies have a shelf life of 5 years.

Available in 100ml (glass bottle + dropper), 200ml and 500ml (plastic bottle + cap)

How to use

Mugal is supplied in liquid form for ease of administration. This format allows for flexible delivery—either directly into the horse’s mouth, or mixed with feed or water. All methods are equally effective. If administering orally, we recommend using a clean utensil such as a teaspoon to avoid contaminating the dropper.

Dosage Instructions:
Acute use: Administer four drops into the mouth or food, three times daily for five consecutive days. This constitutes one full course.

Ingredients

Homeopathic Ingredients
Borax, Bovista, Graphites, Kali ars, Kali bic, Kreosotum, Petroleum, Silica, Sulphur and Thuja

Preservation Base
This remedy is preserved in a gentle solution of ethanol and purified water.

About Our Ethanol Base

At Natural Pet, we use certified organic ethanol derived from cane or wheat, prepared at a mild 10% concentration. This formulation supports product stability while remaining suitable for regular use.

Ethanol and Equine Tolerance

Each dose contains only a small amount of ethanol—typically one or two drops. Most animals tolerate this well. For horses and donkeys, we recommend diluting the drops in fresh drinking water to ensure ease of administration.

Our Commitment to Purity
We select ingredients with care, prioritising both quality and purpose. The ethanol used in our remedies reflects this commitment: organic, clean, and thoughtfully balanced to support your animal’s wellbeing.
